  Anthony met us half-way on two major costs (replacing the timing belt and tires) – and we concluded our purchase feeling that we had been dealt with fairly, and had bought a vehicle that would meet our needs for several more years. They even took care of our registration and license transfer at Service Ontario.

  Terrible service. We agreed to have a few repairs made on the car before purchase. They were not done. Some should have been done as part of safety and there is no note of it is on the inspection.

  After confirming their asking price and our beater’s trade-in value were fair (using Auto Trader averages), we made our offer subject to a couple of conditions. They were fine with us taking the van for ½ day to have our own village mechanic inspect it, and he found a tire safety problem.

  Beyond their fair dealing with us, we were experiencing some difficult personal circumstances at the time – and Motorhouse provided us with a free ‘loaner’ van for a week while they did the timing belt work… which went ‘above and beyond their call of duty’… and greatly reduced our stress at that time.

  After finding Motorhouse’s ad for an Odyssey online, we called to make an appointment (as we live about an hour from Carleton Place). Our test drive confirmed our interest, and in discussion, we learned that they do not work ‘on commission’ and pay their staff decent wages. (This was a plus for us, as we felt ‘no pressure’ from them on this sale.) They provide a free online Car Proof vehicle history report (other dealers don’t).
